李芳吟的作品討論人類和現代社會，透過消費主義所連結的層層關係。她的創作包含了空間裝置、櫥窗裝置、文字和拼貼。無論是從她的創作或書寫材料裡頭，不難發現屬於她的特殊的幽默性，通常包覆在她所想要討論的問題的最外層，成為她作品裡頭共通的特性。這被她視為引導觀眾重要的第一個接觸點，並透過暗示性物件、符號、超現實情節去對資本社會所製造出的種種社會矛盾提出疑問和討論。

Li’s works discuss the various connections between humans and the modern society through consumerism. Her works include spatial installations, window display installations, texts and collages. She addresses the issues in discussion with a sense of humour that is unique to her. It is important to Li that her oeuvre is characterised with humour, as she believes it is a crucial connecting point between her and the audience. This is done through metaphorical objects, symbols and surrealistic plots to address the contradictions within the capitalistic society.
